Good things travel fast. According to our reporter, since Humen International Cloth Center entered market, it has gained favor from both investors and cloth merchants. March 10 th , that is, February 1 st in Chinese lunar calendar, HICC took part in 2005, the 5 th Shenzhen International Textile Fabrics, Accessories and Yarn Fair, in order to further the fame and strength of HICC, boost healthy management and development in the market, actively create opportunities of exchanging and learning from the outside world and keep the same pace with leading figures in this industry. Invited by organizing committee, Mr. Zhou Xuji, board chairman of Xingyu Drapery Wholesale Mart Ltd. Co., had an ebullient speech and cut the ribbon in the opening ceremony.

It is reported that HICC won unmatched reputation in this fair. Its unique and novel booth design attracted crowds of visitors; many businessmen were amazed by its project hardware design, leading product layout and market orientation of being pacemaker of world vogue cloth, and some of them subscribed on the spot. Mayor of Nantong city who visited this fair, showed a keen interest in HICC after knowing its conditions. He talked and discussed with Mr. Zhou and praised ceaselessly.

In the afternoon, Yang Jichao, vice secretary of China National Textile Association and Zhang Zehua, vice general editor of China Textile News, paid a specially trip to HICC, accompanied with Zhan Jingsheng, secretary of Shenzhen Textile Association, Tan Zhiqiang, director of China Garment Association, chief of Dongguan Economy and Trade Office, vice chairman of Humen Garment and Accessories Industry Association and chairman Zhou Xuji, board chairman of Xingyu Drapery Wholesale Mart Ltd. Co.. They discussed and changed views with Humen cloth businessmen over development issues of cloth and garment industry in Humen, and they approved of HICC's positive role in Humen's cloth industry.

Mr. Yang and others inspected the layout model HIC, and HICC officers introduced HICC's construction and investment condition in detail. After that, Yang commented that Humen was renowned in history, and since reform and opening up Humen government has worked hard to develop local textile and garment industry, which plays an important role both at home and abroad and it lacks of international brands and is now facing with the bottleneck of industry. Among all cloth markets in China, HICC has most advanced design concept, and both its overall establishment and auxiliary facilities are also very competitive. He hoped that HICC can lead local textile industry to upgrade and he also expressed his concern that managers in charge of HICC should pay special attention to service quality in light of fierce market competition. To date, 200 companies have opened shops in HICC, and information such as the cloth they bought, sales volume, prices and so on is very valuable. Making good use of these sources can provide powerful information platform and management guidance for these companies, and in this way, they are able to grow stronger.

After visiting HICC, Zhang zehua, vice general editor of China Textile News commented that HICC has very advanced design and great potential in the future.

It is said that total investment in HICC, a brand-new, international cloth center, reaches 1 billion RMB. The first phase of the project covers an area of 48 000m 2 , and the total area is 100 000 m 2 , with 1066 separate shops and showrooms of over 10000 m 2 . I t is going to open in this October, so now developers have shifted their focus on attracting investment and building management system.

Yang and other officials expressed his keen interest and approval on five centers (International Cloth Color and Design Center, International Exchanging Center of Textile Technology, International Web Purchasing Center of Cloth, International Conference and Exhibition Center of Cloth, International United Office Center of Cloth Industry). According Yang, it is a must to gather the best and widest sources in the world when we develop the whole industry or only one single market. Besides advanced hardware facilities, auxiliary service also should be enhanced.

Mr. Zhu Xuji, board chairman of Xingyu Drapery Wholesale Mart Ltd. Co., commented after he listened to experts and officials' opinions. He promised that related facilities and preparatory job to flourish HICC would be completed in the following days. Therefore, the first owners' conference will be held on March 20 th , in Humen Longquan International Hotel, where problems such as decoration and facilities will be discussed.
